Upcoming Street Fighter 6 Game In 2023
Street Fighter is officially back with Street Fighter 6, with Ryu, Chun-Li, and friends new and old taking center stage, with a whole new look at traditional restricted visuals. It's also an opportune time, as the Street Fighter franchise turns 35 this year and is gearing up for a big comeback (Street Fighter 5 was released over six years ago in 2016).

Street Fighter 6 Game Release Day
While Street Fighter 6 doesn't have a corporate history yet, Capcom has given us an idea of when we can count. During Sony's June 2022 State of Play, the developer revealed via a brand new trailer that Street Fighter 6 is coming in summer 2023.
Street Fighter 6 Game Platforms
Chun Li in Street Fighter 6. Unlike Street Fighter Five, the new installment in the series will not be separate from the console. Street Fighter 6 will launch simultaneously on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, which is particularly important information for Xbox gamers who missed out on Ultimate Access.
Street Fighter 6 Game Trailers
After a quick countdown to February 2022, Capcom released a trailer officially announcing that Street Fighter 6 is coming, showing a situation between Ryu and Luke, presumably a battle before. For longtime fans of the series, the trailer has become especially exciting for a number of reasons, the main ones being:
New character Luke gets some screen time in the teaser. This might come as a surprise given that it was more effectively delivered in one of Street Fighter Five's remaining updates in 2021. However, the DLC has been very focused on Luke and is seriously preparing him to be a part of it. The fate of Street Fighter, perhaps an important story in the future. It seems more likely now, but don't panic: Kane and the gang will still be there when they're released.
It's doubtful that the footage used in the trailer is showing footage in an effort to stay in-game (there's hardly much detail to consider, but it's possible), but either way, it's indicative of a change. Do. The fashions are more realistic, Ryu looks older (and bearded, a style Capcom has tried before), and the franchise in general seems to stray away from the ink brush style that defined the many previous entries.
The next look at Street Fighter 6 here is Sony's June 2022 State of Play, where we take a look at what hip-hop, neon fashion, and street art the game can have. It shows a number of characters, such as fan favorites Chen-Li and Ryu, but the giant screen has been changed to a world tour mode, which takes place in the metropolitan area of the city. There are some clips of men's or women's pre-match introductions, and some quick clips of moves, combinations, and specials in combat, though they are still shown without the info screen.
2022 Summer GameFest has revealed a trailer for Street Fighter 6 featuring the main character, the one who is the subject of everything, Guile. Being a new athlete, we see Goyle making his way to Luke and Rio at the famous Airship Theater. In addition to his famous quick kicks and vocal moves, he offers a host of modern techniques and amazing tips before getting healthy by styling hair.
Street Fighter 6 Game Game Play
Street Fighter 6 is not a surprise in the middle: it is a fighting game. You'll interact in battles, pull off combos, do super moves, fire shots, fire projectiles, and all the usual stuff you'd expect. However, an interesting new feature that can help cheaters is the addition of a 2D manipulation scheme. The classic controls will work in the traditional six-button format the group usually uses, with groups of buttons performing special moves, but the new contemporary management system makes it even easier.
Advanced controls do not require players to memorize or practice complex moves to perform the moves. Instead, unique moves are assigned to a button, and changing the direction it moves or the position it is in while holding it down will trigger a unique move.
The main new mechanic in Street Fighter 6 is something known as the drive system, which is at least visually similar to the focus mechanic in Street Fighter 4. Drive is a counter that you can use to do one of five things: Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive, Drive Rush or Drive Reverse. They all have specific inputs, but they all come from the same command scale, which means you'll want to ration depending on whether you want to apply it to defense or offense.
